Evaluation

The first blog posting does a nice job of stating a major theme for the article: all people should be treated fairly and equally. The blog post mentions a strong point, made by Martin Luther King, that if it was wrong for the African Americans to try to gain justice in the busing system, then the Supreme Court is wrong, the United States is wrong, and God is wrong—because all three claim that people should be treated equally. I think this last part of the blog posting left a strong opinion.

The second blog post very strongly states that all Martin Luther King wanted was for all to be equal and free. The quotes that were used really helped emphasize the points of the blog. The information about the Ku Klux Klan and the White Citizens’ Council gave good information to help show why something needed to change in this country.

I really liked the first point mentioned in the third blog posting. It is truly inspiring to read about someone who believed in our country, and our government despite how much he disagreed with its current state—his faith in the country we live in is part of why he stood up to make a change. If we lived in a country where the government controlled everything and everyone, no one—including Martin Luther King—would have been able to make a difference. The second point in this blog post leaves an interesting question to think about that we will never have the answer to.
